Thank you. This was very powerful and meaningful. May Vic be blessed throughout the remainder of his lifetime.
When was this vdo recorded
Yo Larry, I've probably watched about 100 of your Viet vids and this guy you're interviewing has to be the most intelligent, articulate speaker yet. His knowledge of the war is impeccable. He should run for mayor or gov or congress.

This young man whom I was crazy about at the time he was home on leave , he was told not to wear his uniform ? He showed up with his army shirt on over his white TShrit his army shirt had his name displayed, and his rank and &unit , His patches on his shoulders he was driving his Harley ,he dove up to my house I WAS out SIDE WAITING FOR HIM HE STOPPED &, I looked at him what a hamsome man . And I said Charlie ! What are you doing all decked out in your army shirt ? ARE you looking for trouble ? & He winked at me and said , "Only if it finds me , hop on sweetie and lean into TO ME , and I sure did . I LOVE YOU CHARLIE MY BRAVE, honorable warrior ❤️ That sweet memory I hold of him happened over 55 years ago 🌹🇺🇸
Thank you for your service, God has Blessed You.
God bless you both. Good job Larry
I absolutely love ❤️ this! What a beautiful thing 😇🇺🇸
I love the helicopter stories!
My uncle robert gaxiola served at chulai he worked on the chinooks until he volunteered for side gunner position. I think he served 67 to 69.
I`ve always wanted to know more about Lam Son 719--every time I hear someone talk about it,I don`t know how anyone survived.....surprised no one`s made a movie or written books about that part of the war....will be donating soon, once I get the ok-lol,to you...GOD Bless you for all you`ve done.....One question:Have you heard of Richard Flaherty, the shortest/smallest man to fight in Viet Nam?He returned to Florida,I believe, and became homeless, living on the streets for many years until he was killed by a drunk-driver in a hit-and-run......such an amazing story.........Anyway,til next time, take care.....Steve M. from the coast of ME
Thank you Larry for bringing us these videos.
I was 13 when I first became aware of Vietnam and those that fought over there. I remember praying for them and that has not changed in the 40+ years since. I hope that CWO Buss heard those prayers.
RIP all victims and first Responders. I will never forget this day.. I remember looking at the footage on the news and seen the 1st and 2nd planes hit the towers and I screamed " LOOK at the SMOKE " It looks like the face of Satan.. I had a really bad feeling that this is it. God !! please be with those that are there in this nightmare...
Very good interview ❤
Yes sir , it's called out in the Constitution of the separation of church & state. If these people want to sick their nose's in with GOD then start making these NUT's pay TAXES !!! Believe what you want , BUT DON'T put it in public policy .
Larry whats IFR? I'd have to research (LUMP SUM)?
My stepfather was in the Army then ,and retold me about some of those experiences ❤ thanks again for the opportunity to see and here these stories revisted June 21 2024 Dobie Wan Kanobie ❤❤❤❤❤
✌️I’m from Cochinchine 💛💛💙🤍💙🤍💙💛💛 No vn😂 because Tonkin and Cochinchine are two Countries . Thank you !
But no disaster teams were called in - no exceptional special operations forces called - just ordinary fire and police - which was inexcusable.

Thanks again Larry for such a sincere, powerful and sometimes painful and emotional presentation. My Dad who passed away last year, served his Country of UK and I see his face and hear his voice in these soldiers and sailors. I'm so thankful for all who have served, died, survived and also for those who may face it in the future. Gentleman, Sirs, you have my respect and my eternal gratitude.
I'm a Marine. Did Desert Storm. I understand what these guys are speaking to. I hope that any American who watches this will understand it. We have a GREAT COUNTRY. We do. But it can disintegrate into nothing if we let it. Don't let it. Fellow Americans - please don't let it. Be Proud and Stand up for us. Truth is - The rest of the World is depending in us. It's true.
not being disrespectful to the guy but does he still have the thousand yard stare
this guy is still there you can see it in his face
06.00"They flew OH-6's..(stutter step)...a lot of them died"... (exhale), I laughed hard, clicked the interview off. No disrespect Rob. Sometimes I find it odd the things I laugh at. As soon as he said OH-6, a picture of a OH-6 re-flashed through my mind, I knew where that was going. I'm sure I'll finish the interview. Thank you Voices of History and CWO Rob Buss
178ASHC Chu Lie Pathfinder Lazy Boy
This is interesting but can we cut the introduction in half
74yo? Rob looks 20 years younger.
Interesting take on the war or conflict as is said especially his father being a Chaplain thank you for your service thank you Larry as well
Very cool . Though I only remember flying in a Hook once . What I remember is , they were loud . I am thinking that ole Rob is being humble . I know that there were a few jobs I never wanted in RVN , and one of those was being in hook crew . A big NO TY to being a huge , hovering target over some FSB in the middle of bum . I felt the same about guys riding up on some dozer or plow digging out a new FSB / LZ out in bum . During my TOD that encompasses his , I heard about a C.C. on a Hook who had gotten fired up at base camp in I "think " Phu Loi one night . I guess he was trained to fly the Hook as a crew chief ? The guys I knew who were scouts on Loaches were trained to fly their bird , JIC the pilot was unable . Anyway , somehow the drunken bet was that the CC could do a loop in his . He got it up and tried , and died . Stay strong Rob , fewer of us by the day .. doc lll Corp 25ID / others ..
I always wondered why the mission in the Mekong Delta was not assigned to the Marine Corps. Seems like a natural fit for the Marines given the waterborne aspect. I guess Westmoreland was partial to the Army.
This was on a whole new level COOL I really enjoyed this video thank you both. MAY GODS RICHEST BLESSING BE YOURS
You are a awesome human being
Another great interview
Loved this man and his faith in Jesus touched my heart.each one that made it home had a purpose in life.ty for sharing his story amd God bless u both😇🙏
This guy kind of crashed and burned at the interview. Doesn’t really sound very patriotic or proud to be American.
Give it a rest...

Great story. God bless you both.
Great Interview. Great Christian Gentleman. Rob as well!!
Welcome home, thank you all so much for your service.👊🏻🇺🇸
Rob, thanks for being another selfless hero. Where would we be without you? Larry, the same question could be asked about you. Thanks for reaching out to them from all of us.

Another priceless interview of yet another true American! Great man, great interview and a great message! God bless our veterans and our country! 🇺🇸
This man has a very healthy mind ,strong constitution.
It shouldn’t be like what is portrayed. Homeless, ptsd, doing badly. It was a part of life. Some grew up and had to serve in a war zone, some never had to serve in a war zone. Majority did their job, served, got out,got jobs, got married ,had families, retired, grew old. Life. Serving Vietnam,a short time in life that you past through. Maybe not the best part, but done, and the significant thing you did do in life that sets you aside..it is a very small percentage that served and had that experience.
It is wonderful getting to know Mr. Coffman through this interview. Great personality and perspective on life.
May GOD always remember and bless the great fighting men and women of this nation , thank you for your service.
Wonderful interview! Chuk might have knew my dad ..... ❤god bless you
Same age and time as me. Also I was first year in college 1963. During the years of assassinations. Difference was my family weren’t from the immigrant families. We were rooted in the southwest U.S. A different country 😊I really appreciate the way you told your experience 😊
Thank you
